Tests of Dyslexia (TOD) provides measures to address screening, diagnosis/identification, and intervention–based assessment goals for individuals ages 5 years, 0 months–89 years, 11 months (Grade K–Adults).

Tests of Dyslexia (TOD) includes three test batteries (kits)
TOD–Screener (TOD–S)
- Three tests that can be administered to groups of students or to individuals, available in a paper or digital format.
- Universal Screener: Grade K–Adults (ages 5 years, 0 month–89 years, 11 months)
- Admin time 10–15 minutes to obtain Dyslexia Risk Index
TOD–Early (TOD–E)
- Grade K–2 designed for the early identification of students aged 5–9 years (5 years, 0 months–9 years, 3 months).
- Nine tests (includes TOD–S, which are the first 3 tests)
- Admin times is 20–35 minutes to require for the Dyslexia Diagnostic Index.
TOD–Comprehensive (TOD–C)
- Grades 1–Adult designed for examinees aged 6–89 years (6 years, 0 months–89years, 11 months).
- Twenty three tests (not all tests are typically administered), includes TOD–S (first 3 tests)
- Admin time is 30–40 minutes to require for the dyslexia diagnostic index (6 tests in addition to TOD–S)

Reading and Spelling
- Sight Word Acquisition; Phonics Knowledge; Spelling; Reading Rate; Reading; Comprehension Efficiency
Linguistic Processing
- Phonological Awareness; Rapid Automatized Naming; Working Memory; Orthographic Processing; Visual–Verbal Paired–Associated Learning
Vocabulary and Reasoning
- Abilities that do not require reading or spelling; Comparing the results of this domain with results from the other two domains can be useful in making a diagnosis of/identifying dyslexia
Brief Introduction to the Tests of Dyslexia (TOD)
The following professionals may use the TOD
- Classroom teachers may administer the TOD–Screener (TOS–S) and complete the Teacher Rating Scale. Teachers that are trained to administer the test and are supervised by professionals who have advanced training with standardized assessments may also administer the TOD–E or TOD–C.
